Dejavu? Legendary Morgan Heritage returns to our shores

Harare – IT is not a dejavu, it’s real!

Grammy Award winning Jamaican reggae outfit Morgan Heritage is set to return to our shores for the third time for shows lined up this October,Express Mail Zim can report.

The celebrated reggae outfit is billed to perform on October 14 and October 15 in the capital city Harare and gold rich Kadoma respectively. The tour is courtesy of RAVE entertainment and Sub-Saharan Africa Live Entertainment.

According to the tour’s spokesperson Derrick Owusu, local artistes will have a golden opportunity to collaborate with the legendary family and prove their mettle on the global platform.

The same opportunity was accorded to Winky D who produced a collabo with another Grammy award winner Moses Davies better known as Beenie Mann.

“Grammy award-winning Morgan Heritage will be bringing the vibe and verve of the Caribbean to blend perfectly with the celebrated sounds, colour and vibe of each country stop,” Owusu said in a statement.

He added :
“While on the road, Morgan Heritage will look to discover, interact and collaborate with some of the freshest and biggest talents in each country to produce a collaborative album as they immerse themselves in the rich and diverse soundscapes of Africa.”

The venues and ticket prices will be announced in due course and the previous shows the band held on Zimbabwean soil remain etched in
reggae lovers’minds.

The band has managed to stay afloat for almost two decades in the game.

It is made up of siblings namely Peter Morgan,Gramps Morgan and Memmatel Morgan better known as Mr Mojo for his soothing and inimitable voice which revitalizes energy in any reggae fan.
Their decorated discography boasts of 12 albums dominated by hits and sing along tunes.
The first attempt to bring Morgan Heritage was made by Mathias Bangure who was then the Music Crossroads boss in 2010 buy it hit a snag.
