Civil servants throw weight on ED
Harare- GOVERNMENT workers have thrown weight on the Second Republic and former an affiliate establishment called Civil Servants TrustED .
It is a virgin platform that brings together civil servants from across all government departments including prisons services, ZRP, local government, higher education , social welfare and all government departments to actively participate in the national Economic Development agenda.
Civil servants have thrown their weight and support behind the government through the establishment of a Civil Servants Trust ED initiative.
This initiative is set to ensure that that National Development Strategy and Vision 2030 are shared and owned by civil servants ensuring improved service delivery , working ethos and efficiency within all ranks of civil service.
Civil servants have thrown their weight behind the vision of Economic Development which has come to be known as ED. Civil Servants for Economic Development is a welcome development that will move the country forward and ensure that civil servants are part of the solution to the nation’s challenges.
Formed in May 2022 civil servants TrustED has structures across all 10 provinces with a membership base that is over 35 000. The organization is registered under the laws of Zimbabwe.
Civil servants TrustED is actively supporting the Economic Development Agenda leaving no place and no civil servant behind.
The chairperson Lorraine Mutenure said Civil servants need to own the National Development Strategy as they are the key functionaries and tools for implementation of the NDS1 and Vision 2030. She added that Civil servants subscribe to the vision of creating an upper middle income economy by 2030 as this would translate to better salaries , better living conditions and better working conditions for civil servants.
She added that Civil Servants are the key drivers of development, enablers and implementers of policy created by government hence the need for civil servants to own and participate in the vision for Economic Development.
