Investigations conducted by this publication established that the Borrowdale Brook based Chinese dealer Jinyang also uses one Zhang Xu as a front in his illicit operations under the guise of a mining company called Qingu Investments.
The company is alleged to be at the centre of a complex syndicate involved in smuggling chrome ore to South Africa and other destinations through under declaration of volumes, which has prejudiced the State of millions of dollars in taxes and mining fees.

metals and diamonds.

The loot is then shipped to targeted destinations
“Su Jinyang is harassing any Chinese business competitor and he uses force to maintain monopoly and hegemony over mining, transporting and all deals you can think of.
” He says he is untouchable and linked to influential people and brags that Zimbabwe is a jungle where he and his cartel members are immune to prosecution ,” said one of our multiple sources who preferred anonymity in fear of reprisal through Yang ‘s alleged violent tactics.
Apart from terrorising his fellow countrymen who are in legit business in Zimbabwe , he is also accused of working in cahoots with unscrupulous officials from the Immigration Department to facilitate fake permits for non-qualified Chinese nationals.
“Yang brings his cartel members into Zimbabwe and facilitate fake permits and certificates through their connections at the Immigration department.
“He is also the mastermind of identity fraud where he facilitates identity theft and issues his cartel members names of existing people,” said another source who once worked with Yang at his Mutorashanga Chrome expeditions.
The source added that one of his cartel members Zhaoxi Wu died while using a forged identity forcing the Registrar General’s office to cancel his burial order and death certificate after detecting the fraud.

He is said to have threatened fellow Chinese businessmen boasting of a financial muscle to hire hitmen if they compete with him.
Express Mail Zim also established that Jinyang has a pending court case where he stands accused of attempted murder of a fellow Chinese national in Greencroft.
A police report of attempted murder was filed at Avondale police station and he subsequently appeared in court and was inexplicably granted bail despite the gravity of the allegations.
