Chidawa Calls Youth League To Order

Zimbabwe Action Youth Platform (ZAYP) has castigated the reluctant stance being taken by Youth League leader John Paradza to support and protect its principal, President Emmerson Mnangagwa amidst brutal attacks from political foes through various public fora.

ZAYP leader Tonderai Chidawa said the youth league needs an executive that is actively participating on the ground while exhibiting its commitment to serve and protect its Principal.

“We as the Zimbabwe Action Youth Platform are not convinced with the way the Youth League has been masquerading and handling it’s affairs under the leadership of Paradza,” he said.

Chidawa said the silence of the Youth League is shocking especially considering how the sole principal has been attacked by people like Godfrey Tsenengamu and other elements tarnishing his image.

“The failure to announce and assure the support for the President publicly leaves us as the ZAYP worried about who has our backs,” he added.

The Youth platform said Kudzai Chipanga and Tendai Chirau have in the past showed loyalty and support to the principal without doubt unlike the current executive.

Chidawa said the Paradza executive which has been in office for just 3 months has rather chosen the silent route while President Mnangagwa is being savagely attacked.

“Their silence during this tarnishing process leaves a lot to be desired which leaves one to wonder what their action plan really is, are they conflicted and by who?”

“When one of the Provincial Chairmans was attacked, Paradza was there to show his support for him but now when our Principal is under attack he is nowhere to be found, behaviour which lacks merit in showing his commitment and support for our leader,”

ZAYP said the platform does not contend with the Youth League or Paradza but rather the administration should be actively participating on the ground while exhibiting its commitment to serve and protect its Principal.

ZAYP is a Zanu PF youth league affiliate.
