Chicken Slice extends footprint, opens first drive inn food outlet in Marondera

Marondera- OWNERS of Chicken Slice, Pizza Slice, Creamy Slice and Slice Grill have extended its footprint and opened a branch in Marondera Tuesday.

This becomes the first Chicken Slice drive inn fast food outlet in the Mashonaland East capital.

This development is in tandem with Slice Distrubutors executive chairperson Tawanda Mutyebere’s vision to expand the business across the country and beyond.

The group is targeting tapping into the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) region.

The food chain opened its 16th branch in Braeside, Harare last year and is now set to open a new brand called Slice Feed.

“We are expecting to open 15 more branches across Zimbabwe. Everything is in position and it is a matter of opening.

“We are making inroads into our neighbouring countries with expectations to open branches in Zambia. We will also be assessing business in Botswana and Mozambique,” Mutyebere was qouted as saying.

“What we believe in as a brand is about our service and products and we value those two. When you get into any Chicken Slice branch you will see the same services that you receive in Mvuma and if you go to Masvingo, you will receive the same service.

“We believe in quality and we are not worried about prices because you must give the correct tag on our prices.

“Although we are facing some challenges like any other operating business in the country we are soldering on and hoping that the economy shapes up ,” he said.

The Marondera branch will be operating on generator and the official opening was headlined with pomp and fanfare.
