Cheeky armed robbers hit Mukuru money agency in broad daylight
Residents who wanted to effect a citizens arrest had to scurry for cover after the malcontents fired gunshots in the air
Harare- CHEEKY armed robbers pounced on a Mukuru Money Transfer agency at Makomva Shopping Centre in Glen View Monday morning and made good their escape with an unknown amount of money, Express Mail Zim can report.
The gun totting robbers were travelling in a black Toyota Mark X .
Eye witnesses said they held the staffers hostage and looted the cash before firing shots to avoid citizen arrest.
Citizens had to scurry for cover and police has since instituted investigations.
Lately, gun crimes have increased with blame piled on South African based Diwali tans who have adopted the gun culture.
