CCC ‘ SG’ Shabangu dragged in US$10k bribery storm
Harare- SELF Appointed Citizen for Coalition for Change (CCC) secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu has been dragged in a bribery saga where he emerged a ‘saint’ ,Express Mail Zim can exclusively reveal.
Tshabangu , who is talk of the town , after recalling 15 CCC legislators and threatened to release a list of candidates for by-elections following a presidential proclamation on the election dates allegedly refused a a US$ 10 000 bribe from a sitting Nelson Chamisa aligned CCC legislator representing Ruwa named Thomas Muwodzeri
This publication has it on good authority that in a bid to save his skin for recall, Muwodzeri sent his emissary Robert Mugadza to deliver a ‘brown envelope’ of US$10 000 to Tshabangu who blatantly declined the offer.
“I don’t know who Tshabangu is working for but he refused to get US$10 00 0 to save Muwodzeri from his recall list.
” He refused to be a Judas Iscariot,”said our source who preferred anonymity.
Information at hand say that the emissary Mugadza had ‘blew’ US$3000 before he approached Tshabangu in premature assumption that he was going to gullibly take the bribe.
Impeccable sources told Express Mail Zim that Mawodzera is fighting tooth and nail to safeguard his controversially attained funeral parlour in Ruwa.
“The residents complained that the proposed location of the parlour is too close to a residential area to relocate it.
At least 35 residents petitioned the Ruwa Town Council opposing the construction of Shingai Funeral Parlour that he eventually won.
Efforts to get comment from Muwodzeri proved fruitless as he did not answer his phone.
