CAPS United Follows Suit as MP Scott Sakupwanya Makes Player Welfare a Top Priority for Zimbabwean Football Reforms

Mabvuku Tafara Constituency Member of Parliament and owner of Scottland FC, Pedzai “Scott” Sakupwanya, has spearheaded the revival of Zimbabwean football in terms of player welfare.

Scott and his associates promised each player an aqua if they win today’s match against Herental at Rufaro Stadium.

Scottland FC players have been receiving substantial winning bonuses in the Northern Region League, making it one of the highest-paying teams in the country.

Meanwhile, CAPS United has motivated its players with a cash incentive of $1,000 each for a win against Premier Soccer League (PSL) title contenders Simba Bhora in their match at Wadzanayi Stadium in Shamva on Saturday, November 2, according to reports from The Herald.

CAPS United president Farai Jere stated that this incentive strategy has previously led to success for the club. He noted:

“We are offering $1,000 for a win against Simba Bhora. This approach has proven effective in the past.”

Head coach Lloyd Chitembwe expressed confidence in his team’s ability to improve upon their earlier 0-1 defeat to Simba Bhora this season. He remarked:

“It should be an exciting match, but I want to take a moment to commend coach Tonderai Ndiraya for his impressive work with Simba Bhora. He has exceeded expectations and deserves recognition for his achievements.”
