Bogus UK visa agent nabbed for manufacturing fake documents
Harare-A city woman who is in the habit of masquerading as a visa agent is in the eye of a storm following allegations that she made a futile attempt to submit fake documents to the United Kingdom Home Office,Express Mail Zim can report.
The matter came to light when the suspected fraudster Takudzwanashe Irene Nyambuya was approached by a United Kingdom based woman who wanted visas to be processed for her two children who are based in Gweru.
She was paid US$750 for biometric and TB tests and she delivered at that stage to bait his prey.
“My sister was reffered to Taku by a mutual friend and she claimed that she used to work for FedEx and is now a visa and CSO agent.
“She was given money amounting to US$750 excluding her own charges and she indeed delivered the TB and biometric tests.
“She however became evasive and when my sister was asked to provide additional information by the Home Office.
“She would switch her phone on and off until such a time that Home Office noted that she had submitted fake documents and we had no option than to take the legal route said,”narrated the victim ‘s sister.
The matter was reported at Harare Central police station under CR1352/10/24 CID Commercial Crimes Division and she appeared in court.
Trial date was set for December 2.
