Black Rhinos ‘dehorns’ coach Maruwa

Harare- BLACK RHINOS football club have Wednesday fired head coach Herbert Maruwa,Express Mail Zim has heard.
Maruwa was fired by the club’s executive for alleged ‘ unbecoming behaviour’ during match days,battering the club’s image in the proccess.
The club did not specify the nature of the said misbehaviour but this publication’s moles said it was the use of juju.
“On his last game against Triangle at Gibon stadium,he sent his marshals to sprinkle some juju on the pitch but we still lost,” said an inside source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
In a statement released Wednesday, the club alleged that he exhibited highest levels of disobedience.
“Black Rhinos Football Club takes this opportunity to inform you on the latest developments within our esteemed institution. The Executive Committee, guided by the Black Rhinos Football Club’s Constitution, Article 10 (c), unanimously agreed to terminate the services of Mr Herbert Maruwa as the Head Coach.
The decision was informed by the following reasons;

Unbecoming behaviour during match days which has tainted the corporate image of the club and the organisation at large,” read part of the statement.
The club executive further cited cases in point including the club’s matches against Dynamos FC, Manica Diamonds FC, Ngezi Platinum FC and recently Triangle FC.
“This was also in contravention of the Premier Soccer League’s regulations.

“Failure to respect and accept advice and support from other technical department members thereby negatively affecting unity within the club.

“Disregard of authority by failing to attend meetings called for showing disobedience to the Executive Committee, for reasons best known to him,” reads the statement.
Maruwa had a turbulent five year stint with the Zimbabwe National Army owned side.
Their home stadium is Sakubva Stadium but have been moved to Vengere in Manicaland province. Maruwa could not be reached for comment at the time of writing as his phone was unavailable.
Efforts to physically locate him at his other favourite ‘hunting ground’ apart from the field of play, Boomerang Sport bar also yielded zero results. Maruwa becomes the second profile high gaffer to be axed in the space of week.
