All set for Kungoma Nemagitare concert
Harare- ALL is set for the much anticipated Kungoma neMagitare concert that will be held tomorrow at the Anglican Cathedral in Harare where top gospel artistes are billed to perform.
The show is hosted by musician Francis Hawu Juma and a gospel outfit called Trinity Singers.
Other artistes expected to serenade fans are Vabati VaJehovha, Mai Munodawafa and Sabelo and other students.
In an interview, one of the event organisers Juma said they are geared up for the event.
“In an effort to bring diverse to art,we thought of bringing those who do Ngoma Nehosho and artists who perform with backup bands hence the theme,Kungoma Kumagitare.
“Doors are opening at 4pm and l am urging all music fanatics to cone in your numbers and enjoy what we have instored for you,” he said.
Juma is fondly known for singing hym songs in a diverse manner.
He recorded his first album in 2011 titled “Namata Urinde” and to date has nine studio albums, a DVD, and some studio sessions with various artists.
He also produced another album in 2022 titled “Zarurai” which carried eight tracks.
It carried a mix of Anglican hymns, his original compositions, and some collaborations.
The songs were sung in different languages including Shona, English and Chichewa, as he targets to widen his fan base.
In the past, Juma worked with the likes of Bethany Pasinawako Ngolomi, Rute Mbangwa and Patience Masiyambiri Mandizha.
