Popular accapela music group Firm Faith Zimbabwe is set to launch its ninth album, “Shoko Rengirozi Nhatu” and record a debut live DVD concert.

The launch is scheduled for July 2 2022. This comes after the event was postponed twice.

The much awaited concert was supposed to have been held on May 7 2022, it was postponed to June 4 and finally moved to July 2 this year.

Speaking to this publication, group founder and music director Mashall Matsilele apologised to their fans describing the postponements as unfortunate.

He said circumstances beyond their control forced them to keep moving the dates.

Matsilele said at first they wanted to look for a much bigger space in order to accommodate more people as the event was now free of charge.

“As a group we are very sorry for keep on postponing this event, we understand that some of our fans had to plan because they will be coming as far as Bulawayo, Mutare and Gweru and other places, its very unfortunate any inconvenience caused is regretted.

“Now that all is in place we have secured a much bigger space, 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale, we pray by God’s grace nothing will change again,” said Matsilele with a soft voice.

He added” As you know we are launching our ninth album and this is our 15th year in the game, we have decided to make the event much bigger and memorable, apart from recording a live DVD we have invited a popular accapela group from East African,” he said.

“We are very excited everyone is ready and we will be happy to meet our fans face to face after a long separation which was caused by the pandemic ( Covid-19),”.

Firm Faith has already released two tracks from the album “Shoko Rengirozi Nhatu” and “Inzwa Maungira” which features songstress Sharon Manyonganise.

“I hope people are already enjoying our title track which we released with a video and Inzwa Maungira.

“We are receiving feedback and we are very much humbled, we do not take the support that we are getting for granted we really appreciate.

“We have since realised that we are nolonger a group confined to the church, we are now a universal ministry however our goal remains the same that of spreading the word of God through music,” he said.

Some of the songs on the album include “Fill my cup Lord”, “Nzira imbiri”, “Ishe wemadzishe”, “Tendeuka” among others.
