Harare-HIGH flying Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church accapella music outfit, Firm Faith Zimbabwe, has teamed up with Jamaican sisters, “Foster Triplets”, on their upcoming nine track album,Express Mail Zim can report.

Titled “Tichamuona Jesu”, the album will be Firm Faith’s ninth offering and will be launched in Harare at a yet to be announced date.

Foster Triplets – Malaika, Mahari, and Mikaili- are Jamaican gospel music singers who are well respected in Christian spaces, the sisters have performed at larger audiences globally.

In an interview with this publication recently, Firm Faith music director Marshal Matsilele pointed out that collaborating with other singers, especially international artistes, will help them to break new grounds, push boundaries, and create something truly special.

He said working with others brings new ideas, perspectives, and approaches fostering artistic growth.

“Collaborations provide opportunities to learn from others skills techniques and experiences at the same time increase exposure. On this project we are guaranteed that we will have access to new audiences, we have created a new fan base, and our music is now exposed to new listeners.

“This is in line with our sole mandate, which is to spread and reach everyone with the gospel, especially the second coming of Jesus Christ message,” said Matsilele.

Matsilele added:
“With many gospel artistes and groups adopting a ‘secular sound’ our aim is to prayerfully select the songs we deliver and the groups and individuals that we work with to ensure that our messages will always speak to the heart of millions of our listeners. We believe that as ministers, we have to be careful with music because it is a very powerful tool in God’s hand but a very dangerous weapon in the hand of the devil,” emphasised Matsilele.

“The music we create and sing in our ministry is heavily influenced by the Bible and Bible alone (Sola scriptura).

“We do this with the purpose of ‘preserving’ the heritage and promoting the future of true gospel music,’ he added.

Matsilele said on this album they have worked with the Foster Sisters and penial Tambama among other like-minded singers.

“Tracks on album include “Nyika Ichaguma”, “Munesimba”, “Jesus Forgive us” , “He touched me”, “Murindi”, “Zuva Richasvika”, “Angiwanaki”, “The king is coming” , and “Handichada”.

“This album is very special to me, and i believe it will touch many hearts. I almost quited music after the death of my mother.

“The songs on this album speak about hope. The messages explain what will happen after this life, thereby answering many questions that we usually have after we lose our loved ones.

“I lost my mother and brother in a space of one year, i was heartbroken to the extent that I almost gave up singing. However, through prayer and meditation, I soldiered on. That painful phase that i went through motivated me to work on this album,” said Matsilele.

Two weeks ago, Firm Faith released a single “Ngena Noah” and next weeks they will be releasing another single titled “Murindi”.
