Let there be light. Illuminating the night, one day at a time, weaving warmth and light into the fabric of Diwali.
Every flicker of light chases away the shadows. It brings brightness, joy, and a touch of magic to our lives.
This Diwali, Dr. Vivek, owner of Trauma Centre, Borrowdale, and Mrs. Ana Solanki hosted an enchanting celebration at the Harare Country Club, bringing together friends, family, and esteemed members of the community to honour the festival of lights in a spectacular setting.
The Harare Country Club, with its lush greenery and elegant ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop for this vibrant celebration.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed by a stunning display of colourful rangoli, created by local artisans, and flickering diyas that illuminated the pathway, setting a festive mood.
The evening was a culinary delight, with a lavish buffet featuring a rich array of traditional Indian dishes.
Dr. Solanki’s hospitality was unparalleled, ensuring everyone enjoyed a feast that included flavourful, traditional Indian street food, fragrant rice dishes, and an assortment of appetizers like pakoras and samosas.
For the sweet-toothed, the dessert table was overflowing with sweets like tasty paan, barfi, gulab jamun, and traditional Indian mithai, each crafted to utmost perfection.
In addition to the delicious food, the celebration was infused with cultural traditions.
The evening’s entertainment featured Bollywood-style singers, mesmerizing dance performances, and captivating fire dances. The highlight of the night was the Rusike Brothers, who got the crowd on their feet with their infectious music.
It was truly a delight to see all the guests embracing the spirit of the event by wearing traditional Indian attire. The variety of beautiful garments added a vibrant and festive atmosphere that made the occasion even more special.
The occasion was blessed with the presence of Amitbhai Maharaj from Mumbai.
Samir Popatlal was the MC, who had everyone joyfully follow the proceedings.
As the evening progressed, laughter and cheer filled the air. Guests enjoyed mingling, sharing stories, and connecting over their shared heritage with a dance floor that came alive with the sounds of Bollywood music.
Everyone joined in the celebrations marked with pomp and funfair.
Dr. Vivek and Mrs. Solanki expressed their joy in hosting the event and emphasized the importance of inclusive community during Diwali.
“Celebrating with our friends and family reminds us of the bonds that enrich our lives,” Dr. Vivek added, “Diwali is about spreading light and love, and we are grateful to have everyone here to share this special occasion.”
The Solankis’ Diwali party at the Harare Country Club was a resounding success filled with joy, laughter, and a true sense of community. As guests departed, carrying beautiful memories and delicious leftovers, it was clear that the spirit of Diwali had truly shone brightly that night, reflecting the warmth and togetherness that the festival embodies.
