Geo Pomona eye waste management in Lesotho
Maseru – A delegation from Zimbabwe’s waste management company, Geo Pomona this week met with Lesotho’s Prime Minister Samuel Matekane to discuss the company’s intention to manage waste in the mountainous Kingdom.
“We are delighted to have concluded our successful tour of the Kingdom of Lesotho where we will assist the country in solving its waste management problems,” Geo Pomona said in a statement.
“Our delegation met the Lesotho Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Samuel Matekane at State House in Maseru on Thursday.”
Geo Pomona said Prime Minister Matekane “expressed interest to work with us to end the Kingdom’s waste management crisis.”
“Now, we will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on waste management,” the company said.
Dr Delish Nguwaya, the executive chairman of Geo Pomona Private Limited led his team to Lesotho.
Geo Pomona, which is managing waste disposal in Harare has been receiving invitations from countries in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to help manage waste after the company built a state of the art waste management facility in Harare.

Eswatini, Madagascar and Botswana among other countries showcasing modern waste management practices like the one at Geo Pomona in Harare.
