Hwindi President pleads for help as Zimra impounds his Chevvy
Harare- ZIMDANCEHALL artiste Bessel Mugo Parewa, popularly known as Hwindi President, had his car impounded by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) as part of the ongoing clampdown to flush out fraudulently imported motor vehicles.
Parewa took to social media pleading for assistance and claimed that his Chevrolet vehicle, with South African plates, was impounded along the Harare-Masvingo Highway on August 27 this while he was driving from Beitbridge.
He wrote:
“GUYS NDIBATSIREIWO KUKUMBIRA RUREGERERO KUZIMRA GUYS NDAPERERWA WO LAST OF LAST MONTH NDAKAPAZIRWA IMBA NOW ZIMRA NDAKAPARA MHOSVA YEKUONEKWA NDICHIDRIVER MOTA YANGU..NDAIFUNGA KUTI NDICHABHADHARISWAWO FINE KWETE KUBVA NDATORERWA MOTA YACHO ZVACHOSE….GUYS MOTA HANDINA KUIBA IYI NDAKAITENGAWO NDATONZWA NEKUSEKWA PASTREET AND MAPAPERS ESE NDINAWO….NDIBATSIREIWO KUKUMBIRA RUREGERERO GUYS PLEASE inga ndiri mwana wemunowo MUZIMBABWE amana ndakanyanyotadzei (Guys help me ask for forgiveness from ZIMRA, I committed a crime of being seen driving my car, I thought they would fine me not impound my car forever. Guys I did not steal this car I bought it, i’m tired of being laughed at in the streets and I even have the car papers all of them with me. Help me apologize guys please I am a Zimbabwean citizen guys what did I really do wrong)”.
Hwindi President started off as a tout at Charge Office bus terminus before launching his music career.
