Weekly Devotion:Commiting to walk in His Faithfulness
By Honest Mundondo
As we start this week, let’s commit ourselves to walk in His faithfulness, trusting that He has equipped us for whatever lies ahead.
Lamentations 3:22-23
“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Romans 5:1
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
A normal assumption is that when one enters a zone that is full of light, all darkness disappears around him.
When God reveals Himself to a man, it must be like light that has come to expose every dark spot. We must never get to a place where we get used to the revelation of who God is but still choose to continue in our old ways; choose that path of sin, hate, evil, unrepentence, bitterness, unforgiveness, wickedness and all other hurtful things.
When you get a revelation of who God is, He will also reveal himself to You. It is so much grace and an honour when God reveals Himself to men. We must never get so used to getting in and out of God’s presence and come out the same without transformation.
After a revelation of who God is, capture your negative thoughts, passions, and evil intentions and choose to submit to the total control of the God who has revealed the light.
Repent and see the need to continue in submission to Him. When Isaiah got the revelation, he saw all evil on him and continued to seek the God that had shone the light. The light of God struck Paul on his way to persecute the church. The light Paul received was enough to change his name and destiny.
Never continue to walk in darkness when the bright light of God that comes through revelation shines on your path. Allow His light to shine and choose to transform.
Beloved may you be physically healthy, emotionally stable, with a sound mind and peace, and good family relationships, obedient children, sweet marriages and financially stable.
May you be a person of integrity, full of wisdom and truth representing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
3 John 1
2. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
3. In fact, I greatly rejoiced when [some of] the brethren from time to time arrived and spoke [so highly] of the sincerity and fidelity of your life, as indeed you do live in the Truth [the whole Gospel presents]
This week, let’s take a moment to thank God for His unfailing love and mercy. Each new day is a gift, filled with fresh opportunities to experience His grace and share His love with others.
