Zambian liberation movements critic Kalimbwe makes a climbown after accusing govt of giving tenders to “illeterate” individuals ahead of SADC Summit preps
He hastily pulled down an X Post where he alleged that govt 'ressurected' the late Namibian president Hage Geingob who died early this year
Lusaka- FIERCE Zambian born critic of liberation movements John Kalimbwe (33) has Monday made a climbdown over an X (formely Twitter) post, where he had insinuated that the Zimbabwe government is making ‘boobs’ ahead of the 44th SADC Summit of Head of State and governments scheduled for next month in Harare.
In his seemingly spirited mission to ‘throw shade’ on the Second Republic ‘s efforts to provide decency and high levels of hospitality to guests in tandem with African tradition, Kalimbwe alleged that the Zimbabwe government was giving tenders to what he termed “illiterate” individuals ahead of the summit.
“African Presidents have been posted.
” Ironically the poster of passed Namibian President, Hage Geingob is up. They don’t know Namibia has a new President.
” This is what happens when you give million USD tenders to illiterates !!,” read his X post before he made a climbdown and deleted the post after a short period.
Geingob died early this year.
“He deleted the post after probably realising his folly and self introspection.
” For a young man of his age it’s not a surprising. He was born after 1990 when most African countries had attained independence , ” said a political analyst who feared reprisal through cyber bullying.
Express Mail Zim had sight of the X post before it was pulled down, but could not immediately ascertain the location of the billboards in question.
His actions gave the Second Republic the last laugh!
Lately, the Second Republic has made massive road rehabilitation among other infrastructure development programmes and law enforcement agents have been on high alert with several arrests of ‘u sanctioned meetings’ been made.
