Zesa switches off Pegasus House over non-payment of bills
Harare-POWER utility Zesa has this week disconnected Pegasus House over non-payment of electricity bills, Express Mail Zim can report.
The proprietors Dawn Properties neglected to pay the bill running into thousands of dollars.
Ironically, Dawn recently received a huge payout from Crowne Plaza Monomotapa in respect of the acquisition of parking space adjacent to the hotel.
“There are two things involved management had other priorities after Monomotapa paid a lump some.
” Some of the money was channelled to heavy perks and allowances to management.
“At the other hand, management did not want to carry the burden of some tenants who were not paying bills.
” There are big companies like Utande who rent three floors but wantonly neglect to pay, ” said our inside source from the property owners.
Pegasus House is one of the spectacular skyscrapers in Harare and is neighbour to the Sino-Zim owned building Livingstone house which used to have strong ties with the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), before mafia boss Sam Pah was arrested in Hong Kong for various crimes.
Before his arrest, the witty Sam Pah had managed to use his cunning tactics to loot diamonds from Chiadzwa under Sino-Zim Diamonds – a company that was superintendent by the CIO.
Former Vice President Joice Mujuru raised a red flag since she also had vested interests at the diamond rich mine in Manicaland province.
Grace Mugabe was one of the major beneficiaries of the ‘blood diamond’ and she allegedly acquired properties in Singapore, UAE and South Africa and her wealth will never ‘extinct’ like a volcano.
The seemigly litigious former First Lady recently lost a court case against prominent Harare lawyer Bwanya, in a futile attempt to take him to the cleaners.
