Harare- INTERNATIONAL lawyer and former President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s advisor on investment policy has on Monday issued an apology to politician and fellow legal mind Fadzayi Mahere over “untruthful and defamatory” post on X(formerly Twitter) in 2018.

Gappah made sensational claims in a series of posts on X stating that Mahere enrolled at the University of Zimbabwe through the ‘back door’ and that she lied having worked at the Hague as listed in her CV.

She further assasinated Mahere’s character claiming that at some in time she once made moves to snatch her lover and baby father.

In what appears to be a personal relection, Gappah made sommersault this week.

She succumbed to pressure from the seemingly litigious Mahere and issued a public apology.

Express Mail Zim reproduces hereunder full transcript of Gappah is well creatively worded apology:

In September 2018, following a public spat on Twitter, now X, I posted a number of statements
about Advocate Fadzayi Mahere, namely that
● she got into the University of Zimbabwe through the help of her father in 2004
● she was an intern in The Hague in 2009;
● she attempted to “get into (the) pants” of the father of my son after he asked me to help her with her application to Cambridge University: and
● I helped her to get into Cambridge by editing her application essay in October 2009
Advocate Mahere considered my statements to be utruthful, defamatory, and injurious to her.
Consequently, she launched legal action againsı me for causing “irreparable harm” to her political career, her career as a civil society activist, and to her career as an advocate.
