Last Kings director Muringi in USD125 k fraud rap
He is the same man who 'cooked' false allegations against legit businessman Boss Chimpa last week, Muringi has a documented pattern of deceiving people and evading payment to fund his luxurious lifestyle where he 'fakes the funk'.
Harare-SERIAL fraudster and phoney businessman Shingi Levison Muringi was in his familiar territory (court) Saturday on a USD125 00 fraud rap,Express Mail Zim can report.
He is the same man who defaulted paying businessman and socialite Patrick “Chimpa” Mutenha a USD40 000 loan extended to him and cooked trumped up charges leading to Boss One Chimpa’s dramatic abitrary arrest last Friday.
Chimpa is a member of the Money Group, a consortium of young entreprenuers led by Zanu PF parliamentarian Boss Scott.
The dramatic arrest went viral on the webosphere and it was clear that the person who recorded the video had ulterior motives and was possibly part of the ‘crack team’ that apprehended Chimpa at Arundel village in Harare.
Muringi remains caged after Magistrate Lazini Ncube trashed his bail application.
Through his petroleum company Last King, the alleged smooth criminal misrepresented to the complainant that he wanted to buy 120 000 litres of fuel.
He allegedly promised to make a payment instantly upon delivery.
Acting on the misrepresentation, the complainant then delivered 120 000 litres of fuel to Muringi.
As had become his modus operandi, Muringi neglected to pay the money and diverted the funds to spoil himself to a luxury vehicle that he then ceded to Chimpa as surety for a USD40 000 loan that he also failed to pay as agreed in black and white.
On April 27, Muringi allegedly sent fake proof of payments (POPs) purporting that he transferred US$70 200 and US$54 000 to the complainant’s accounts.
The POPs were discovered to be fake leading to his arrest.
Muringi has a documented pattern of deceiving people and evading payment to fund his luxurious lifestyle where he ‘fakes the funk’.
However, his alleged dubious actions have led to the arrest of others, such as law abiding citizens and legit businessmen like Boss Chimpa who have been caught up in his schemes.
