MDC Youth Vice Chairperson in hiding

MOVEMENT For Democratic Change Hatcliffe Vice Chairperson, Blessing Chikadaga is reportedly in hiding after dodging ruling party ZANU PF goons by a whisker.

A group of ZANU carders on Wednesday stormed Chikadaga’s family residence in Zvakatanga kuseka and demanded to see the 27-year-old MDC youth leader accusing her of feigning violence in the neighborhood.

Her mother, Alice Zhuwawu told Zim Morning Post that they are now living in a fear and have been threatened with death if they report the ZANU PF youths to the authorities.

“This has been going on unabated for sometime now. These ZANU PF youths have been bombarding our homestead demanding to see my daughter they claimed she intends to cause terror in this community. But everyone who has come across Blessing knows that she is a peace-loving girl who only serves the best interests of her chosen party,” said Zhuwawu.

“In as much as I want to report this matter to the police, I can’t my hands are tied because this is a small community news filter in faster so I don’t want to worsen a delicate situation already. I don’t want to risk losing my daughter, myself or any family member but the only alternative is to lodge a report at a different police post outside Hatcliffe.”

The ZANU PF youths according to Chikadaga’s mother destroyed the main door and various property, a sign that they will not stop at anything until they seize her daughter. Chikadaga’s whereabouts remain unknown and her mother is unsure whether the ZANU PF youths have already captured her and are just trying to persecute her family too
