Ressurection of live reggae music in Mfombi

House of Stone set to erupt like a dormant volcano

Harare- SEASONED reggae music outfit, House of Stone, who are on a mission to revive, the local live reggae
scene which was dormant, will liven up the high-density suburb of Mufakose, Harare, during a show slated for 11 February,
2024.

Currently, House of Stone performs every Sunday at Club Habhana, situated at Southgate Mall,
alongside the seasoned duo of Etherton Beenie and Garry B.

The Sunday session has become a staple for
reggae loving connoisseurs in and around Harare, with the venue reverberating to original and cover
versions of stirring reggae vibes.

According to Lindo Promotions, the organisers of the Mufakose gig, 2024 is the year to revive live reggae
bands.

“Local reggae bands are made up of seasoned and prolific instrumentalists and vocalists, who do
not get the recognition and accolades that their artistry deserves,” said Lindo Promotions
Communications Director Elder Lindo, in reference to the talent within the reggae fraternity, currently dominated
by House of Stone, ZimReggaestra and perennial campaigners Transit Crew.

The Mufakose gig, which will be an afternoon affair to cater for both old and new fans, will be held at
Sarsanay Bar, located in the Gwenyambira Complex, the traditional hub of entertainment in the suburb.

On full display at the show will be vocalists Satisfaction aka Ras Nudza, Gringo, Slashy T and Jeffarai who has been hibernation lately.

Satisfaction and Jeffarai are seasoned singers and chanters who have graced the stage since the days of
the MaRasta movement at Red Fox, Misty’s and Book Café, while Slashy T and Gringo are
instrumentalists who have grown from strength to strength on the mic.
Speaking exclusively to Express Mail Zim, the irrepressible Satisfaction promised fans fireworks through a blend of
roots reggae and dancehall anthems.

His set will include his own music as well as covers of iconic reggae
pieces.

Meanwhile, Lindo Promotions has emphasized that the gig, which is free of charge, will be in the
afternoon, in a bid to revive reggae music.

Satisfaction and House of Stone will also perform at the Chikurubi Damview on February 17, 2024.

Lindo Promotions has been in the game for a long time are champions of the reggae movement in Zimbabwe.
