National tree planting day: Property development and environment preservation are intertwined , says Westprop boss Ken Sharpe
Harare- AS the nation commemorates the national tree planting day held annually on the first Saturday of December , property developers Westprop have joined the nation and planted trees at their ‘adopted’ home Greenwood Park.
Sharpe said in their line of business is mandated to take care of the environment and avoid harming natural spaces for the future generations.
“We plant these trees not for ourselves, but for our generations.
“Bear in mind our responsibility towards the environment with all our properties, we have taken this seriously and made provisions for natural spaces without harming the natural resources we found there
” Manicured gardens, lawns and parks will be key features in our property developments” Sharpe sharerd his sentiments on X (formerly Twitter).
Westprop has been sprucing up the Greenwod Park and held the last clean up campagn of 2023 Friday.
Meanwhile,President Emmerson Mnangagwa commemorated the national tree planting day in Mutasa district.
