SDA pastor Nyahuma sucked in elections bungling, accused of tormenting former EZC president

Harare- CONTROVERSIAL tycoon Kudakwashe Tagwirei’s close ally and Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church pastor who was appointed chief executive of Bridge the Gap foundation Blessing Nyahuma and a cabal of church leaders linked to the tycoon are accused of tormenting aspiring East Zimbabwe Conference (EZC) president Pastor Arnold Marunze leading to his depression and eventually mental illness.

The infighting was excarbated by the current elections that are been held and Tagwirei’s allies are pushing for one Pastor Motsi Jnr for presidency.

Sources told this publication that money has been exchanging hands to buy votes.
” Powerful and wealthy church members are pumping money in vote buying.

“Some of them are politicians and they want to impose their stooge and maintain hegemony and control of the church in a mafia style fashion,”said our source who preffered anonymity.

“Advocate Thabani Mpofu is against this development as he is a champion of fairness and he recently blasted Solusi University on X (formerly Twitter) accusing Tagwirei of dubiously acquiring a doctorate from the University last week.

In a leaked dossier gleaned by this publication last week, Nyahuma together with a syndicate of pastors Machamire, Katsvairo, Muzira, Motsi Jr who are believed to be on Tagwirei’s payroll allegedly crafted a cocktail of malicious allegations meant to discredit Marunze as a positive candidate for the top post.

As a result, this affected Marunze and got him into massive depression and he eventually suffered a grievously mental wreck.

“Pastor Marunze’s pitiful descend into the abyss of depression and finally mental illness was caused by Nyahuma and his acolytes.

“After his dissapearance in October, Pastor Marunze was recently seen at EZC offices crying and in a sorry mental state. One of the secretaries in the office is said to have tried to console him and she was told deep personal secrets by the pained pastor as to why he was weeping. Although by then he was already in an unstable mental state, and he implicated Nyahuma and company,” read part of the dossier.

Contents of the dossier further allege that another target of the cabal also hounded former chief financial officer Vimbai Sinchuke and executive secretary identified as Musiiwa.

“Lies and malicious accusations which were never proven were peddled to tarnish their image before session were leveled against them.

“Their term of office was rendered ungovernable,” further reads the dossier.

The alleged cabal is said to have gone around recruiting junior pastors to achieve their nefarious agenda using threats .

“They cooked up many many lies against Marunze and his team, they drafted the infamous petition which they force marched junior pastors to sign, mostly against their will.

“They alleged that there were camera footages to prove these activities of adultery and embezzlement and this made the the junior pastors believe the lies cooked up against Marunze and team, all in a bid to alienate the leaders in office to impose their facade,”partly read the scathing dossier.

Another victim of depression is said to be one Mrs Sinchuke who had to given a sick leave by a shrink.

The SDA church has been haunted by massive divisions and Nyahuma is said to be the mastermind fighting on Tagwirei’s corner.

Recently the two reportedly attended the Rugby World Cup in France along with their families to cement the bond and engage in strategic planning of church politics in a tranquil environment.

Nyahuma could not be reached for comment at the time of writing as his phone could not get through.
