Mvurwi- ROYGRI boxing academy will host the National Championships Boxing tournament to be held on October 28 in Mvurwi.
The tournament is in conjunction with The Zimbabwe Boxing Federation.
“The tournament will be held at Stone and Water Resort in Mvurwi where the national team will be selected to represent the country for the Africa games and Olympics.
“The tournament will gather boxers from across the country and expected to play a pivotal role in the fight against drug and substance abuse in the youth within the province and nation at large,” said club chairperson Archibald Royc.
Royc is also the Head Coach assisted by Elias Mapako who doubles as Assistant Coach and Club Secretary General.
The coaching team recently roped in Brian Nyawasha, a seasoned boxer as a trainee coach.
