Mnangagwa retains Presidency

Harare:Zimbabwe Electrocal Commision Chairperson Justice Priscilla Makanyara Chigumba has announced ZANU PF candidate Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa as the winner of the 2023 Presidential elections.

President Mnangagwa has been re-elected for a second term in office after attaining 52.6 percent of the vote, surpassing that of opposition leader Nelson Chamisa who came in second place with 44 percent .
The total number of valid votes was 4,468,668. Voter turnout was 68.9percent

A total of 11 candidates were vying for the top post in the land.
