Sherwood Golf Club: One stop shop for sports, arts and culture

Harare- EXISTING within the sporting and entertaining field comprising of Art and Culture, Sherwood Golf Club is located just 8 km from the City Center of Harare and has emerged to be the hub and the home for everyone in the city of Harare.

The glory and the traction which the club is accumulating is not ignorable.

The club before the new management which took it over in 2019 was as good as dysunctional and a wilderness.

The patrons of the club where all bitter and disappointed by how the club was being managed, but now tide has turned. Since the takeover the club has resurfaced itself and management to position itself as the only leading entertaining space of sports art and culture in Harare.

Bulk of music lovers are flocking and scrambling weekly to be part of the historical experience that Sherwood has to offer. A place once rendered desolate is now a shinning star, and a force to reckon.

A new atmosphere is now present, you can not be at Sherwood and then your heart fails to skip a moment.

Golf has been replenished at the club. With people from all age groups coming and earning skills free of charge on the sport. This has unlocked hidden potential in most of the kids. One is assured that in the few coming years Sherwood is going to reclaim its place as the leading golfing platform and community. This has been made possible by capable and dedicated management. The golfing culture has been surely rekindled at Sherwood.

According to Nikita a Sherwood Golf Club Member “Sherwood Golf Club has ignited the spirit of unity. Far from different genres of music that are part and parcel of the weekly performance. The club is breaking ethnical and racial barricades. With different kind of races coming to spend the magical times together. The Cultural diversity that has been displayed by Sherwood Golf Club is historic and must be respected.” he said

The yearly Africa Day Celebrations which is hosted by the Sherwood Golf Club has grown from strength to strength. This year’s it contnued with a musical festival was glamorous.
It was a 4 day gathering with people and artists from all walks of life coming together, The artistic expression of Sherwood is unmatched as proved by the 2023 Festival. It was a massive event, with excellent poetry, music and cultural activities.

The marketing world was also present and it was given a platform to grow, this featured local/ indigenous brands and international brands. Sherwood has indeed opened long closed doors of networking opportunities .
