Mash Central set to be thrilled as ‘Battle of Zim’ Uhuru celebs comes to the province

Harare- GOVERNMENT has directed the Castle Premier Soccer League (PSL) to postpone the match between Highlanders FC and Dynamos FC until further notice,Express Mail Zim has learnt.

Dubbed the ‘Battle of Zimbabwe ‘, the much -hyped match was scheduled to be played on April 15 .

A potentially atmospheric atmosphere was expected at this match as has become tradition, especially at Barboufields stadium.

In a statement released Wednesday, PSL communications and liason manager Kudzai Bare stated that the Sports and Recreation Commission issued a directive to postpone the match due to Uhuru celebrations slated for Mashonaland Central in a landmark development.

“Please be advised the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Highlanders FC and Dynamos FC scheduled to be played n Saturday 15 April 2023 has been postponed.

“This comes following a directive from the SRC for the teams to participate in the Independence Day activities which will commence on on the 16th of April 2023.

The postponed fixture will be rescheduled in due course” said Bare.

The Uhuru celebrations will be held at Mt Darwin Secondary School.
