Just In: Parly boss Chokuda arrested over graft charges

Harare- ZIMBABWE Anti- Corruption Commission (Zacc) has on Thursday arrested clerk of Parliament Kennedy Chokuda for criminal abuse of office.

In a tweet Zacc confirmed the arrest.

“Zacc has arrested Clerk of Parliament Mr Kennedy Mugove Chokuda for Criminal Abuse of Duty as a Public Officer as defined in section 174 of the Criminal (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9.23,” reads the tweet.

Zacc did not provide finer details of the crime but speculative reports suggest that he was implicated in the infamous laptops scandal where a company called Blinart Investment inflated prices and qouted bizzare prices prejudicing Treasury.
