ZPCS signs MoU with Rwanda

Kigali- ZIMBABWE Prisons and Correctional Services have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with their Rwanda counterparts to enhance Harare and Kigali’s cooperation.

The ZPCS Commisioner-General Moses Chihobvu flew out to Rwanda this week for the signing on ceremony where the two commited on sharing best practices and collaborating in areas like plea bargaining, renewable energy and new technologies like the Inmates Management System (IMS).

“We have to remember that in running correction institutions you need to learn what others are doing for improvement,” said Chihobvu.

Lately, the ZPCS launched a programme to address mental health care of inmates.
