SA based diva Gospel Queen warms new year with hot single

SOUTH AFRICA based gospel songstress Portia Munaka better known by her moniker Gospel Queen has released a new sizzling hot single titled “Why”.

The single was released on January 8 and she roped in renowned production house Joy of Life and producer Kaparutse.

“I roped in the services of Kaparutse from Joy of Life studios.
“We worked hard on the single and it has since been played on South African airwaves and I thank God ,” said Gospel Queen.

The single has received rave reviews on social media and a ‘video challenge ‘ has also gone viral with people sending videos lip syncing to the song ‘Why’.

A Theology graduate, Gospel Queen cut his teeth in the gospel music industry in 2020 when she release a a 13-track album.

It carried tracks like Wonderful Love, Muri Mwari, Don’t Cry and Pandinopererwa which made noise on radio.

She then released a follow up albm titled Holy Spirit where she roped in celebrated gospel artiste Trymore Bande on a song called Kuenda Humbangu.

In 2022, she scooped an award on Amaqhawanentaba FM in recogntion of her song titled Giroriya.

“The award opened doors for me and I am now getting booked for live performances and Tours around South Africa.
“We started 2023 on a high note with the release of this single and we are using music to preach the word of God ,”said Gospel Queen.

Gospel Queen has however not tapped the local gospel music market but is looking into that feat this year.
