Grim Ripper latest : Police granted warrant of further detention

Harare- Police have been granted a warrant for further detention and the former CID and cop killer Jaison Muvevi returns to court on January 20.

His matte was heard by magistrate Dennis Mangosi at the Harare Magistrates Court Wednesday.

Muvevi killed three people in Wedza last week and was on the run for two days before being caught in Mozambique.

Mozambican authorities intially refused to extradite him citing that he must answer to illegal gun possession before later making a climbdown and surrendered him to Zimbabwean authorities after discussions by both parties.

He arrived at the Harare Magistrates Court in leg irons with heavy police presence and three Homicide officers who were immaculately dressed.

Meanwhile , in a video that went viral Wednesday ,Muvevi narrated how he skipped the border during interrogation.

He revealed that was hiding in the grass and could actually see police cars within the vicinity of his hideout when he reached Mutare.

He was very confident at some point threatened not to speak citing his constitutional rights , a threat which sent all the men in the room into laughter including him.

He however was at pains to explain how he squandered US$1000 in a space of two days when he was on the run

Law experts submitted that in murder cases, no one by law is allowed to plead guilty. and in our courts, if one cant hire a lawyer the state provides you with one – pro deo lawyer.
