All set for Zim Cake artist awards ceremony
Harare- ZIMCAKES Artists Cooperative will Friday host it’s inaugural awards ceremony to honour industry players who excelled in 2022,Express Mail Zim Lifestyle can report.
In an interview with Express Mail Zim one of the organisers Ellina Chakawodza said the event will be held at Golden Conifer in the capital.
They are running under the theme ‘Recreating the Zims Caking Industry’.
The awards will be honouring both national and provincial victors and a raffle will be held where a cash prize will be up for grabs.
Six burner stoves will also be part of the gongs.
To spice up the conference event, there will be a cake tasting competition and lots of hampers to give away.
The organisers will also host a conference Saturday at the same venue and the platform will also serve as a stage of cross pollination of ideas within the industry players.
Players from the region will also grace the potentially explosive event which is set to boost vibrance of the baking industry and the hospitality industry at large.
A lot of activities are lined up and it’s a must attend event.
Tourism and hospitality sector is a major pillar of the economy and has created employment.
