Harare- LOCAL Hip- Hop fraternity has honoured the late blogger and champion of the genre Donald ‘Dodger’ Marindire and a platform dubbed ‘Dodger Dome’ will be launched at the forthcoming ‘For the Culture’ event, Express Mail Zim Lifestyle can report.

The creative writer whose analysis was pregnant with objectivity and deep apprecitiation of the genre had a sudden death which plunged the whole fraternity deep into mourning.

Rapper and founder of Masofa Panze Arts Consultancy Prince ‘Noble Styes’ Butawu said they have entered a synergy with Zim Hip Hop Awards and Moto Republic to honour the late Dodger and ensure that his name posthumously engraved in the Hip Hop hall of fame.

Said Noble Styles on his official social media platforms:

“The next ‘FOR THE CULTURE’ event which will be held in collaboration with the ZIM HIP HOP Awards will put in stone an unforgettable name in ZimHip Hop.

” The good folks at Moto Republik came through and we shall be launching the DODGER DOME,” he wrote.

He further explained that the Dodger Dome is an art space for creatives and will be the main stage.

This honour follows the recent renaming of Planet Dodger online media award at the Zim Hip Hop Awards.

“Great was the man, Greater shall be his legacy,” cemented Noble Styles as he waxed lyrical about the man whose critical thinking and contribution to the growth of local hip hop will forever be etched in the minds of many a hip hop affecianado.

Apart from his hip hop championing crusade, the departed ‘soldier’ ‘s struggle also permeated to national law enforcement as he was employed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police as a cop.

Ironically, a few months before his demise, Dodger signalled a premonition of disaster through a series of ‘telling poems’ .
