Alpha media journalist Blessed Mhlanga set to appear in court today

The senior scribe handed himself to the cops on Monday

Harare- ALPHA Media Holdings (AMH) senior journalist Blessed Mhlanga who was detained Monday after handing himself over to the authorities has arrived at court where is set to appear this morning, Express Mail Zim can report.

Mhlanga popularly known as Dhara B handed himself to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Law and Order Section at Harare Central Police Station.

This followed police statement that Mhlanga was a person of interest for allegedly distributing content deemed harmful to the State in contravention of section 164 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act after HStv broadcast Zanu PF central committee member Blessed “Bombshell” Geza who called for President Mnangagwa to stand down.

Mhlanga has a decorated career where he has respected multiplicity of voices and has even covered President Mnangagwa when he went into a two week long exile before his return to take over the levers of power as he vowed in a statement.
