MORE than 210 Palestinian martrys were retrieved from a mass grave inside Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis following the heinous invasion of Palestine by Israel.
After the invasion, an estimated 500 people have been missing, and about 2 000 have allegedly been unaccounted for after Israel withdrew forces from Gaza Strip.
In a statement released this week, Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Tamer Almassri called on international organisations to investigate the types of weapons being used by Israel as they may be against international law.
“Many martyrs were stripped naked before being executed while dead bodies found with stolen parts like heads, skins, eyes, and others bodies are turned to ashes, suggesting that Israel is using weapons that are not permitted at international law,” read part of the statement.
There have also been reports of bodies being buried in hospital courtyards or other makeshift locations as the healthcare system in Gaza is under immense strain.
Ambassador Almassri reiterated that America and its allies signing off US$26 billion for military assistance to Israel is an act of aggravating the offence.
“Meanwhile, Israeli strikes in the coastal enclave are ongoing, including on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where overnight raids killed 22 people, including 18 children. Israel has carried out near daily air raids on Rafah, where more than half of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million has sought refuge,” the statement continues.
The genocide attacks on Palestine by Israel have to date claimed 34 097 deaths and about 77 000 injuries, with more than 10 000 still under rubble.
